David Mould, assistant professor at the university of Saskatchewan, just released the source code he had used to create stained glass pictures (article). An example of this:

Why did he do this? Well, basically just because I asked. Which proofs once more that people are often very willing to share their source code, especially in academic environments. So if I find some time the next coming months I will try to create a nice GIMP# plug-in out of this code.
